This intersection was characterized with significant delay times as well as long vehicle queues during peak hours, and it was decided that it be converted into a RI/RO intersection and utilizing existing u-turns as well as proposing an additional ones east and west of the intersection. Such u-turns would primarily serve left turning traffic, all while providing satisfactory weaving conditions
